Northeast Regional Cancer Institute

he Northeast Regional Cancer Institute is a local, non-profit organization working to ease the burden of cancer in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The three main program areas that we focus on are: community and patient services, hospital and practice support services, and cancer surveillance.

The Cancer Institute is unique in that it is an independent, exclusively local entity. This means that we have the flexibility to respond directly to the evolving needs of the community we serve. The Cancer Institute invests all of its resources in this region.

St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen

In the Catholic tradition and the spirit of our patron, St. Francis of Assisi, the hungry are fed in collaboration with volunteers and donors from all faith communities. The Kitchen provides a free, hot, nutritious meal to all our guests everyday of the year. Staff and volunteers strive to be of assistance to others and serve with a spirit of compassion, respect and dignity.

St. Joseph's Center

St. Joseph’s Center is an independent Catholic agency sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, rooted in the values of care, concern, compassion and commitment. The Center strives to provide individuals and families who have special needs the opportunity to develop their abilities and potential to the fullest extent possible. We do this through residential, community and home-based services, outpatient therapy, maternity, family and adoption services.

Women's Resource Center

Our services include a crisis hotline, crisis counseling, emergency shelter, safe housing, legal services, support services, community education and advocacy.
