In Loving Memory of Troy Delano Pierce

Troy Pierce, a beloved husband, son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend, was reunited with his Savior on June 9, 2023. His departure has left a void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Troy lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure, leaving a legacy that will be cherished forever.

Born on December 14, 1966, Troy was the cherished son of Patricia Arlene (Stone) Pierce, and late father, LeRoy Delano Pierce. Troy's love for his family was boundless, and he cherished his bond with his brother, Jason, and three sisters, Patsy, Carla and Kandi. Their gatherings were filled with joy and laughter, and Troy's presence made every occasion more memorable.

Throughout their journey together, he was a loving and devoted husband to his beloved wife, Tamara “Tammy” (Phillips) Pierce, his rock and companion. He was the pillar of strength and love in the life of Tammy. His unwavering love, understanding, and joyful spirit will forever be cherished.

Tammy and Troy's love story began in college, where they discovered a deep connection and embarked on a journey together that would span a lifetime. Troy and Tammy were married on June 22, 1991. Their love was a shining example of a strong and enduring partnership. Troy’s devotion to Tammy was unparalleled; he stood by her side through every twist and turn that life presented.

Their shared adventures took them around the world, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Troy's zest for life and his adventurous spirit complemented Tammy's own, and together, they experienced the wonders of different cultures, landscapes, and experiences. Their travels were a testament to the deep bond they shared and the joy they found in exploring the world side by side.

Troy’s love for Tammy knew no bounds. Through thick and thin, he remained steadfast and unwavering in his support. His unconditional love was a source of comfort and strength for Tammy, and he was always there to lift her up during challenging times. Troy's ability to profoundly understand her created an unbreakable bond that filled their lives with immeasurable happiness. His departure has left an immense void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Troy had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his loyal companion, Josie, who brought him immense joy and companionship. As a passionate caterer, Troy used his culinary skills to delight others with his delectable creations. Whether it was a family celebration or a community event, Troy's dishes were always a highlight, bringing people together around the table.

A man of faith, Troy dedicated his life to serving others as an ambassador of Christ wherever he was called. His commitment to spreading God’s love and message of hope was unwavering, and he touched the lives of many. Troy's compassionate nature and gentle spirit made him a source of comfort and guidance for all those in need.

In his free time, Troy embraced the thrill of adventure and the beauty of nature through mountain biking. The trails became his sanctuary, where he could challenge himself physically and find solace in the great outdoors. His love for the sport and enthusiasm often encouraged others to join him on exhilarating rides. He also enjoyed fishing and time around campfires.

Troy's zest for life and his infectious sense of humor made him the life of every party. He had a unique ability to lighten the mood and make everyone around him burst into laughter. His joyful presence could turn any gathering into a memorable and joyous occasion.

Troy will be remembered as the greatest uncle to his nieces and nephews. He had a special connection with them, taking the time to listen, teach, and share their joys and triumphs. His ability to connect with children and make them feel loved was a testament to his kind and nurturing spirit.

Troy lived life on his terms, never conforming to societal expectations. He embraced his individuality and celebrated his quirks, making him the most abnormal and extraordinary person. His departure leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of all those who love him.

As we bid farewell to Troy, let us remember the laughter he brought, the love he shared, the impact he made in our lives and the hope of Heaven. May his spirit inspire us to live life fully and cherish every moment. Rest in peace, dear Troy, knowing you were loved and your memory will forever be engraved in our hearts.
