Theodore Malhenzie, 69, of Chambersburg, died on Thursday at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Abbott Malhenzie. They celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on February 28th.
Born in Olyphant, he resided in Throop since 1954 before moving to Chambersburg eight years ago. Son-of-the-late Theodore and Rose Fedorchak Malhenzie, he was a graduate of Olyphant High School and Johnson Technical Institute, Scranton. He retired in 1989 from Daystrom/Schlumberge, Eynon.
He was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Greek Church, Olyphant and Corpus Christi Church, Chambersburg. Mr. Malhenzie was an U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by two daughters: Debra Malhenzie Gieda and Denise Malhenzie Wisniewski, both of Dillsburg; a son, Mark of Etters; a sister, Alice Pitera of Olyphant; two granddaughters, two grandsons and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A brother, Walter, preceded him in death.
The funeral will be on Monday at 9AM from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant, Divine Liturgy will follow at 9:30AM at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Greek Catholic Church, River St., Olyphant. Msgr. Stephen Hrynuck, pastor will preside. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9PM at the funeral home. Parastas will be held at 7:30PM.
