Mildred Skierski, 86, of Jessup died on Tuesday at Mountain View Care Center, Scranton. Born in Jessup, she was a lifelong resident.
Wife of the late Theodore Skierski and daughter of the late George and Anna Berish Marcinek, she was a nursing supervisor at Mid Valley Hospital with over 50 years of service and a member of St. Michael’s Church, Jessup.
She is survived by two brothers, Daniel of Gouldsboro and Edward of California. Also, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be on Saturday at 9:30AM from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant. Mass will be at 10AM from St. Michael’s Church, First Avenue, Jessup. Fr. Joseph R. Kopacz, Vicar for Priests at St. Pius X Seminary, Dalton, will officiate. Deacon John Hatala from St. Michael’s Church will assist. Committal services will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, Blakely, conducted by Fr. William Blake, pastor and Fr. Joseph Matz, assistant pastor, St. Michael’s Church.
Friends may call on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30AM at the funeral home.
