Mary Ann Brydon, 72, a resident of Abington Manor, died Friday afternoon at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.
Her parents were the late Bernard and Anna McGinley McGough.
Born in Queens, N.Y., she was a resident of the Mid Valley area for the last 30 years. After her graduation from Union High School, Union, N.J., she was trained and worked as a dental assistant. She also worked in retail for a large part of her life.
She was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and college basketball.
The family would like to thank the staff at Abington Manor and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the care given to Mary Ann.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Will Reckless, of Scott Twp.; two grandchildren, Clare and Nolan Reckless; a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia A. and Wayne Lloyd, of Bethlehem Twp., N.J.; two nieces, Donna and Christine; a nephew, Thomas; six great-nieces and great-nephews; and Colleen’s father, Russell H. Brydon, Bound Brook, N.J.
Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, 200 Delaware Ave., Olyphant. Msgr. Michael J. Delaney, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Blakely.
Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Ave., Olyphant.
Friends are asked to go directly to the church on Tuesday.
