Margaret M. Priblo

Margaret Priblo, 89, of Olyphant, died on Thursday at The Gardens of Green Ridge, Scranton. Her husband, George D. died in 2009. They were married for 59 years.

Born in Olyphant she resided there most of her life. Her parents were the late John and Margaret Peterchak Spager. She was a graduate of Olyphant High School and a member of Holy Cross Parish, formerly Holy Ghost Church, Olyphant.

Marge retired from Insalaco’s Bakery Department, Peckville and previously worked at Sullum’s Dress & Bridals and Jelly Bean Clothing Shop, both in Olyphant.

Margaret enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her family and was known for making the “best” pie crusts. She also enjoyed trips to the casino.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Memory Care Unit of The Gardens of Green Ridge and the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their care of Marge.

She is survived by one daughter, Lois Booth and husband, Noel, Olyphant; two sons: George J. and wife, Deborah, Throop and David and wife, Marie, Olyphant; one brother, John Spager, Dickson City; seven grandchildren: Hollie Lute, Justin, Owen Booth, Jennifer, Morgan Booth, Alex and Danielle; several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Frank Spager.

Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 12:30PM at Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, 200 Delaware Avenue, Olyphant. Msgr. Michael J. Delaney, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery, Blakely.

There will be a private viewing for immediate family members only.  Due to COVID 19 restrictions all are asked to go directly to the church on Monday to attend the funeral.

Masks and social distancing requirements will be followed.

Contributions may be made in her memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
