Loretta Ann Yablonsky, 83, of Olyphant, died on Wednesday at Geisinger-Community Medical Center, Scranton. Her husband, John Yablonsky, died in 2007.
Born in Olyphant, she was a lifelong resident and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Nellie Puskas Nichtula. She was a graduate of Olyphant High School and was a lifelong member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, Olyphant. Loretta enjoyed crocheting and quilting.
She is survived by two sons, Richard and wife, Glenda; and Ronald; a daughter, Lynn Haas and finacé, Karl Pfeiffenberger, all of Olyphant; four grandchildren, John and Jason Yablonsky; and Kevin and Katie Haas; many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Nichtula.
A memorial service with Divine Liturgy will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at SS. Cyril & Methodius Greek Catholic Church, River Street, Olyphant. The Rev. Nestor Iwasiw, pastor, will preside. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
