Kevin Oprishko, 42, of Trafford, PA died on Wednesday at home. He was the son of Michael J. Oprishko, Jr. and the late Sharon Barna Oprishko.
Born in Scranton, he was a resident in Olyphant until moving to the Pittsburgh area over twenty years ago. He was a graduate of Mid Valley Secondary Center, Throop and attended the University of Pittsburgh.
Kevin was employed by Citizens Bank as a Relationship Support Specialist, Pittsburgh with 16 years of service. He was a very active member of Sons of the American Legion, American Legion Post No. 331, Trafford and was member of the Trafford Polish Club. He absolutely loved Pittsburgh and everything Pittsburgh, including the Panthers, Steelers and Penguins. A phenomenal cook, he also loved bowling, attending sporting events, bingo and the casino.
He is also survived by a brother, Michael J., III and wife, Laurie of Scotrun; a sister, Christina Beyer and husband, Aaron of Archbald; four nieces, one nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be on Monday at 7PM from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant. Mitred Archpriest John Sorochka from St. John’s Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Mayfield will preside. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 7PM at the funeral home. Social distancing and wearing of masks will be enforced.
Contributions in Kevin’s memory may be made to the American Legion of the donor’s choice.
