Julia Ponelli (Pagnotti)

Julia Ponelli (Pagnotti), 89, of King of Prussia, died on Saturday at ManorCare Health Services-King of Prussia. Her husband, the late Dominick Pagnotti, died in 1996. They were married in 1947. Born in Shamokin, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Susan Tadrick Venarchick and was a graduate of Shamokin High School. Julia resided in Olyphant for 64 years, where she was a faithful and active parishioner at Holy Cross Parish, formerly St. Patrick’s Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister, money counter and quilter. Julia had a kind and loving heart, and her faith, family and friends meant everything to her. She and Dominick were snowbirds who enjoyed their trips to Florida for the winter.   Surviving are three sons, Angelo Pagnotti and wife, Elisa, of King of Prussia; Dominic Pagnotti and wife, Colette, of Midlothian, Va.; and Louis Pagnotti and wife, Marianne, of Plains; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.  She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Stephen, Walter and George Venarchick; and three sisters, Ann Blasi, Mary Yuha and Elizabeth Tentramano. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Ave., Olyphant. Funeral Mass will follow at 9:30 at Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, 200 Delaware Ave., Olyphant. Msgr. Michael J. Delaney will officiate. Entombment at Cathedral Cemetery Mausoleum, Scranton.
