Joseph "Cork" Paul Corcoran, 63, of Dickson City, died Thursday evening at Aventura at Terrace View, Peckville. His wife was Maribeth Corcoran, who died in 2012. They were married for 25 years.
Born in Somerset, N.J., he was the son of the late Joseph and Marion Corcoran. Joe lived in the Midvalley for over 50 years and was a 1978 graduate of Mid Valley High School. He was employed by the former Cinram, Olyphant, for over 30 years.
Joe enjoyed sitting on his porch watching the wildlife with his cats, Hanes and Lil "G."
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at DaVita Dialysis in Eynon and the staff at Aventura at Terrace View, Peckville.
He is survived by three children, Joseph R. and fiancée, Mia Vitali, of Pittston City; Shawna Shulde and husband, Patrick, of Scranton; and Cal, of Dickson City; a sister, Janice Schmidt and husband, Daniel, of Olyphant; several nieces and nephews.
Blessing services will be held Monday at 6 p.m. at the Hudak-O'Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Ave., Olyphant. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
