Daniel Marcinek of Gouldsboro died on Monday. Born in Jessup, he resided in Gouldsboro for the last 45 years. He is survived by his wife, Anna Zablotsky Marcinek.
Son of the late George and Anna Berish Marcinek, he was a retired carpenter and millwright foreman and a member of Carpenter Local 261. He attended Jessup schools and was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church, Gouldsboro. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was also a member of the Moscow Sportsman’s’ Association and the Laurel Hill Rod & Gun Club.
He was preceded in death by 5 brothers: his twin, Leonard, Myron, Michael, George and Joseph and 2 sisters: Veronica Fara and Mildred Skierski.
He is survived by two sons, George and Daniel, both of Gouldsboro; one brother, Edmund of California; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be on Thursday at 9AM from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant. Mass will be at 10AM from St. Rita’s Catholic Church, Main Street, Rte. 507, Gouldsboro. Fr. Martin Boylan, Pastor, will officiate. Committal services will follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 7 to 9PM at the funeral home.
