Christine Ann "Yamma" Pradel

Christine “Yamma” Pradel, 84, of Eynon, died Saturday morning at Creekside Nursing Home and Rehab, Carbondale. Her husband, Gerald, died in 1988.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Ann Novackowski Zuba. Christine lived in Eynon for the last 20 years. She was an avid bingo player and loved scratch-off tickets.

She is survived by a daughter, Anne Sacco, of Eynon, with whom she resided; a son, Gerald Pradel, Jr., of Blakely; seven grandchildren, Peter Sacco; Matthew Sacco and wife, Samantha; MCPO Luke Sacco and wife, Danqi; Kirsten Pradel, Jered Pradel, USAF, Cole Pradel and Aleah Pradel; four great-grandsons, Lawrence Dolf, Luca, Liam and Eli Sacco; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Zuba; and a son-in-law, Peter Sacco Jr.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald, by the Rev. Michael Amo Gyau, pastor. Burial will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Taylor.
