Bernard M. Tully, 83, of Dickson City, died on Monday at home. He was the son of the late Leo and Mary C. Collins Tully.
Born in Dickson City, he was a lifelong resident. Bernie was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School and the University of Scranton. He retired from Grumman, Scott Twp., and previously worked at Tully Dress Co., Olyphant, a family-owned business. He was a member of Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant. He enjoyed cars, trips to Newburgh, New York, and the New York Fairgrounds for modified dirt track racing and really loved the time he spent at Dunkin’ Donuts with his buddies.
He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and will also be fondly remembered as “Uncle Bernie” to the guys at Custom Auto.
Bernie was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Thomas, Charles, William, Robert, Gerard, Joseph and Cyril; and three sisters, Eileen Coble, Mary Wilsey and Audrey Durkin.
Mass will be held at Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant, by Monsignor Michael J. Delaney on Saturday. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Blakely. A private viewing will be held for the family.
Mass attendance is limited due to COVID-19 restrictions and will be by invitation only. If you would like to attend the Mass, please contact a family member. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
