Anna Marcinek

March 20, 1926 — March 24, 2017

Anna Marcinek of Gouldsboro died on Friday, March 24th at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore after an illness.  She was the widow of Daniel Marcinek who died April 3, 2000.  They were married for 48 years. Born in Olyphant on March 20, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Wasyl and Tekla Kowalowski Zablotsky.  Anna was a lifelong member of All Saints Orthodox Church, Olyphant.  She was a graduate of Olyphant High School and was employed by Industrial Transformers in Gouldsboro and in the cafeteria of North Pocono School District. Anna was a loving and devoted wife who cared for her husband through his illness at home and was a loving and caring mother to her two sons. She is survived by two sons: George and fiancé, Jackie Rosen and Daniel. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Kathryn Zablotsky and Mary Semon; and a brother, John Zablotsky. The family would like to thank Regional Hospital of Scranton ICU, Hospice of the Sacred Heart and Allied Services Rehab Hospital for all the kindness, compassion and care afforded to Anna during her illness. Funeral Service and burial were under the direction of the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant.
