Lorraine Rose Keegan, 80, of Olyphant, died Sunday afternoon at home following a strong and courageous battle with cancer. She was the widow of Paul M. Keegan, who died June 25, 1966.
Born in Olyphant, she was a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Hannah Ingoldsby. A graduate of Olyphant High school, class of 1939, she was a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant. She retired from Pawnee Pants, Olyphant.
Surviving is a son, Thomas P. Keegan, two daughters, Kathy Radzelovage and Peggy Gaglio, all of Olyphant. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Edward, her twin, Phillip, Joseph and Leonard; five sisters Kathleen McCarthy, Mary Keegan, Ann Lafferty, Helen Ragermerski, and Dorothy Sappio.
She was a loving and giving person who spent her life loving her children and grandchildren. She touched anyone who knew her with her kindness. She will be greatly missed by her family, who loved her dearly.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 9AM from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Delaware Avenue, Olyphant. Reverend Phillip Sladicka, pastor, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends my call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM at the funeral home. Christian Wake Services will be held during this time.
