Ann Bzdick

Ann Bzdick, formerly of Jessup, died on Monday night at Lackawanna County Healthcare Center. Her husband, Andrew, died in 1976. Her parents were John and Pelagia Duke Ritzco. Born in Winton, she was a resident of Jessup most of her life and attended Jessup schools. She was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Jessup. She was formerly employed by I.G.A. Garment Factory, Peckville and was a member of I.L.G.W.U. Union. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Welsch of Peckville, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jule Krohto and three brothers, Andrew, Michael and John Ritzco. The funeral will be held at 9AM on Friday from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant. Divine Liturgy will be at 9:30AM at Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, 313 1st Avenue, Jessup. The Reverend John Sekellick, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM at the funeral home. Parastas will be held at 2PM.
