Tillie Klemish

March 25, 1911 — June 24, 2003

Tillie (Klemash) Klemish, of Olyphant, died on Tuesday evening shortly after arrival at MidValley Hospital. She was the widow of the late Andrew Klemash who died February 11, 1987. They were married 56 years. Born in Olyphant, she resided there all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Simon and Julia Mudrich Waschysak. Prior to retirement, she worked for 20 years for the Towne Manufacturing Co. in Olyphant. She was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Greek Church, Olyphant and the ILGWU and AARP. Surviving are a son Ted, at home and a daughter Gloria DeStefano, Scranton, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Waschysak and five sisters, Ann Waschysak, Mildred Hundich, Olga Lukasiewicz, Kathryn Tratthen and Mary Chomko. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. After she became homebound and unable to attend church, she looked forward to listening to Ss. Cyril & Methodius mass on the radio every Sunday morning. Her family always came first. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The funeral will be on Saturday at 9AM from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant. Divine Liturgy will follow at 9:30AM at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Greek Catholic Church, River St., Olyphant. Msgr. Stephen Hrynuck, pastor will preside. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9PM at the funeral home. Parastas will be held at 7:30PM. Friends may also call on Monday from 8:30 to 9:30AM.
