Joseph R Alvord

Joseph R. Alvord, 61, of Clarks Summit died on October 5th.  Born in Scranton, he resided in Clarks Summit with his wife Carol A. Andrews Alvord.  Their 38th wedding anniversary would have been on November 6th.He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, the ocean and his computer.He is survived by a son, Frank of Clifford; three daughters: JoAnn M. Ord and husband, Eric R. of Brooklyn, PA, Cheryl Alvord of Scranton and Christine Wilcox and husband, Dwayne D. of Old Forge; a sister, Marlene DeHaven of Stroudsburg; two brothers: William Alvord of Lake Ariel and Gary Alvord of Ohio and ten grandsons.Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 8PM at the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant by Fr. Sica.Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 7:45PM at the funeral home.Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
