Angela M Burris

Angela M. Burris, 88, of Olyphant, died Friday at Allied Services Skilled Nursing, Scranton.  Her husband of 49 years, Donald R., died on December 17, 1989.Born in Ogdensburg, NY, she resided in Olyphant for the last 25 years.  She was a 1938 graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, Ogdensburg.  Her parents were Anthony and Victoria DeChristina Lapetina.A member of St. Patrick’s Church, she was an avid reader who also enjoyed singing and dancing.She is survived by three daughters: Barbara A. Amoedo, Clarks Summit, Donna J. Hanley, Peckville and Janet M. Guzzi, Archbald; one sister, Mary Campanaro, Daytona Beach, FL; one brother, Francis Lapetina, Somers, NY; nine grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Anthony and a brother, Joseph Lapetina.The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:30AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Delaware Avenue, Olyphant. Rev. Thomas M. Muldowney, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Jermyn.Friends may call on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM at the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc, 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant.
