Eleanor Mihalich Egnotovich

October 5, 1930 — November 23, 2010

Eleanor Mihalich Egnotovich, 80,  a lifelong resident of Olyphant, died Tuesday morning at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton.  Her husband Peter died in 1980. Born in Peckville, her parents were John and Bridget Jantas Walega.  She was a graduate of St. Mary of the Visitation School, Dickson City and a lifelong member of their church. She is survived by four sons: Richard, at home, Frank and wife, Antoinette, Peckville, Leonard, Olyphant, and David and wife, Sheryll, Jessup; five grandchildren: Melissa, Kristina, Mariah, Erica and Joshua; two great granddaughters: Audrey Ella and Ava Ashley; three sisters: Josephine Guzzi, Clarks Summit, Wanda Chekon, Jessup and Joan, Michigan.  Many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Gerald who died on September 1, 2008. She enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City and her puzzle books.  She was a mother and homemaker in the true sense of the word.  She loved taking care of and being with her children and grandchildren and she will be deeply missed by all. The family would like to make a special thank you to Dr. Mulloth and his staff, as well as the staff of Moses Taylor Hospital, for the excellent care they gave to their mother. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 9AM from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant.   Mass will follow at 9:30AM at St. Mary’s Visitation Church, 1090 Carmalt St., Dickson City.  Msgr. Patrick J. Pratico, pastor, will preside. Burial will follow at Ss.
