Theresa Marie Tully

Theresa Marie Tully, 82, of Olyphant, died peacefully on Tuesday morning at her daughter Erin’s home in Peckville.  Her husband, Gerard F. Tully, Sr. died on June 26, 2004.  They were married for 54 years.Born in Peckville, she was a resident of Olyphant since 1961.  She was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Gizella Gregor Jackanin.  She was a 1948 graduate of Blakely High School.She was a founding member of Excelsior Hose Co. No. 1 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant and a former member of St. Patrick’s Grade School and High School PTAs.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing and attending MidValley High School football games where she was an avid fan.The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to Amy Karsnak, her friend and caregiver and Hospice of the Sacred Heart staff.She is survived by two sons: Gerard F, Jr. & wife, Ann and David N. & companion, Sue Ferke, all of Olyphant; three daughters: Patricia B. Tully, Erin A. Tully & companion, Alan Granza, all of Peckville and Marisa & Robert Fasulo of Olyphant; eleven grandchildren: Gerard F. Tully, III, Nicole Dell’Aquila, Megan Benevides, Maura Barrett, Jonathan Paciotti, Erica Hyon, Kendyl & Shannan Grzenda, Nicholas Fasulo and Stephen & Patrick Ferke; six great grandchildren: Addison Tully, Joseph, Christian & Greyson Dell’Aquila & Braden & Cooper  Benevides; and two nieces, Joyce Ann Mojher and Esther Snedecker.She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Joseph Szilagyi and Joseph Jackanin and one sister Josephine Mojher.Funeral Services will be held at 9AM on Saturday from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant.  Mass will follow at 9:30AM at Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Delaware St., Olyphant.  Interment will follow at the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Blakely.Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8PM at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to Excelsior Hose Co.
