Martin Mashie

Martin Mashie, 96, of Dickson City, died Friday at home.  His wife is the former Eleanor Lebida.   They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on November 22.Born in Eynon, he resided in Dickson City for the last 62 years.  His parents were the late Louis and Nellie Lucas Mashie.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.A self-employed salesman, Marty won many awards over the years.  He had a beautiful voice and loved to sing and write songs.  He was a loving and giving husband, father and grandfather and truly enjoyed being with his family.He is also survived by two daughters: Gail St. James of Lake Tahoe and Lana Berkosky of Dickson City; a son, Gordon of Cresson; 4 grandsons: Brandon, Ross, Jared and Justin; a granddaughter, Jordan; many nieces & nephews.He was preceded in death by a son, Allan, two sisters: Helen Ceccoli and Mary Cole and a brother, Daniel.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9AM at the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant.  Mass will be celebrated at 9:30AM St. Mary’s Visitation Church, 1090 Carmalt St., Dickson City.  Msgr. Patrick J.
