Helen M. Wisniewski, 88, a lifelong resident of Dickson City, died Tuesday at Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital. Her husband of 59 years, Walter F., died Dec. 18, 2008.Born in Dickson City, daughter of the late Paul and Anna Grick Kishel, she was a graduate of Holy Ghost School, Olyphant and attended Dickson City High School. Helen retired in 1988 from Classic Dress, Dickson City, with 25 years of service. She was a member of Holy Ghost Church, Olyphant, now Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking.She is survived by two sons, Raymond J. and wife, Sharon, Lititz; and Walter F. Jr. and wife, Denise A., Dillsburg; a daughter, Mary Ellen Ruda and husband, Joseph P., Bloomsburg; a brother, Paul Kishel, East Aurora, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Mae Ramos, Pauline Oleski and Mary Wallo; and three brothers, Stephen, Albert and Edmund Kishel.The funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Ave., Olyphant, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, 200 Delaware Ave., Olyphant, to be officiated by Monsignor Michael J. Delaney.
